The Chairman of the National Flood Forum had reason to thank FloodSax recently when a mini flood occurred at his home.
Late at night, Laurence Waterhouse and his wife Maragret were woken by the sound of running water. This turned out to be a burst pipe from the upstairs ensuite bathroom, fortunately the pipe was soon isolated but a great deal of water had accumulated in the ceiling and this was now cascading into the lounge below onto their flagged floor.
Having bought FloodSax for flood defence use, Laurence realised that they would be just as effective in soaking up the water and within 15 minutes the water was contained and 30 minutes later the floor was dry.
Laurence said 'My wife was somewhat sceptical when I said I would sort it out and instead of returning with the mop bucket I put down these white bags, which were very effective'
